What is CoolTone?
CoolTone is a revolutionary new body sculpting device that has recently been approved by the FDA in June 2019. It uses magnetic muscle stimulation (MMS) to strengthen and tone underlying muscle fibers in the abdomen, thighs and buttocks areas.
Pur Skin Clinic is proud to be the one of the first practices in Pacific Northwest to offer this new, innovative, body sculpting treatment! CoolTone has been a great addition to our robust body contouring department. We already offer Coolsculpting for unwanted fat elimination, laser resurfacing for lax skin tightening, and now CoolTone focusing on muscle toning, offering patients a solution to tighter, firmer, fitter-looking bodies.
How does It Work?
Even though the word “cool” is in the name, however, the CoolTone device doesn’t involve freezing of any kind (unlike CoolSculpting, which does freeze and kill fat cells). Instead, using magnetic muscle stimulation (MMS), CoolTone technology penetrates into the muscle layers and induces involuntary muscle contractions. The body’s response to these involuntary contractions is to strengthen the muscle fibers underneath the targeted area of treatment, therefore the result is stronger, firmer, and more defined muscles. While CoolSculpting literally freezes and kills fat cells (which are then naturally flushed out of the body), CoolTone works to tone underlying muscle fibers.
What Areas does CoolTone Treat?
CoolTone has been indicated to treat the following areas:
What does CoolTone Feel Like?
CoolTone is not painful – it simply feels like a series of strong muscle contractions. The body adapts to the rhythm of muscle contractions and it’s easily tolerated.
CoolTone + Coolsculpting?
A match made in body contouring heaven! CoolSculpting and CoolTone can be performed back to back to maximize results on fat and muscle sculpting. CoolSculpting is performed first, followed by CoolTone. The abdomen is a very popular area for a CoolSculpting + CoolTone combination which reduces fat and builds muscle, all without any incisions, anesthesia, or recovery!
