Facial Vessels

Facial veins are very common, and it’s also extremely common for patients to want to get rid of them. Facial veins, or telangiectasias, are blood vessels that have dilated due to a weakening of the fibers in the blood vessel walls. Visible facial veins tend to appear on the cheeks and nose, but can also present on the chin, temples, and/or forehead. While they are fairly common as we age, certain factors may put you at an increased risk for having visible veins, such as rosacea, fair skin, genetics, and sun damage.
