Meet Dr. Jonathan Sykes
Dr. Sykes is a nationally recognized, double board-certified plastic surgeon. He is an expert in rhinoplasty and plastic surgeries that address aging, including facelifts, browlifts, and blepharoplasty. In his career, spanning over 35 years, he has performed over 20,000 surgical procedures.
For over 30 years, Dr. Sykes was the director of Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. As a member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for 10 years, he served as Western Region Vice President, VP of Education, and was elected President of the AAFPRS in 2010. As co-chair of the Many Faces of Giving campaign for the AAFPRS, Dr. Sykes helped raise over $4 million for research, humanitarian efforts, and FPS education. He is also credited with writing over 200 scientific articles, book chapters, and medical literature papers and is the editor of six medical textbooks. In addition, he has given over 1,000 lectures in the United States and internationally and is a popular speaker. Teaching is one of Dr. Sykes’ great passions, and he takes pride in his personal training of 25 fellows in facial plastic surgery and his contributions to the training of over 75 other residents. His highly sought-after FPS fellowship often receives over 40 applications for one position. Most recently, Dr. Sykes was the Director of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at The Roxbury Institute in Beverly Hills, a prestigious and highly esteemed cosmetic enhancement center.
