Proudest career moment:
Making a career change to pursue my passion for skin and beauty complimenting my holistic educational background!
When I’m not at Pur:
I’m cooking or eating! I am a huge foodie and love to try different restaurants or recreate dishes that I love.
On my nightstand:
Water! Staying hydrated and rested is key to healthy skin.
Favorite skin challenge:
Sensitive/acne prone skin. This can be a tricky combination to tackle that requires more patience for both the patient and I, but so rewarding to be able to finally figure out customized treatments and products that work for this individual.
I can’t leave home without:
A good moisturizer and SPF! A hydrated glow and protected skin is a must no matter what I am doing.
Mac and cheese will always be my number one comfort food that I can’t say no too!
The tool I’m always reaching for:
Diamond Glow! It helps hydrate, brighten, smooth, decongest, and stimulate collagen and elastin in the skin. Every skin type can benefit from this all-in-one treatment. I love performing these treatments and receiving them!
I’ll cry if I’m out of:
SkinMedica’s HA5! This product is my holy grail for healthy, hydrated skin. Not only does this instantly plump your skin with instant hydration from the 5 different forms of hyaluronic acid, but it also stimulates the production of your skins own hyaluronic acid! This is such a versatile hydrating product that anyone can benefit from. I love that I can use this as a hydration booster under my moisturizer if I’m needing extra hydration (especially in the winter months) or as a moisturizer on its own when I am feeling oilier (in the summer).
Best thing to happen to the skincare business:
The constant advancements in technology for skincare. It’s easy to find products with similar ingredients, but the extraction/formulation process can significantly alter the efficacy of these ingredients. With research and development always elevating these processes, it’s amazing what the right skincare products can do for the health of your skin!
Love this place! I have had the best Botox treatment ever administered by Denice and I’ve had microdermabrasion that was perfect for my sensitive skin. I’ve sent two of my friends there. I highly recommend PUR.
Denice has been wonderful! She is very knowledgeable and experienced in her field of work. She was able to provide me with answers to my concerns. Overall it has been a wonderful experience for me as I knew that I was in good hands. I’m looking forward to my next visit.
Denice was highly recommended by a friend 10 years older than me. My friend looks beautiful while also natural and not like she’s “trying” to look younger. Denice listens to my priorities each time I see her and works very carefully to fulfill them. I consider Denice a tool in my beauty toolbox, like workouts and eating well. With her help, I feel more beautiful than ever!
We wanted to get to know Raina beyond all of amazing, results-driven work she does in the treatment room at PUR Skin Clinic with her patients. We recently had a chance to sit down with Raina and asked her a few questions about why she loves most about working at PUR, her favorite skincare products, the PUR treatments she likes to receive herself and where we’d find her when she’s not in the treatment room at PUR. Here’s what she had to say.
