Ultherapy is an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment for skin tightening aiming to lift the brows, jowls, neck, and décollete. Ultherapy is a non-surgical alternative that uses ultrasound energy to stimulate the body’s own natural healing process to tone, lift, and tighten loose skin on the face, neck, and chest.
Ultherapy works differently from other lasers that target the superficial layers on the skin which aim to improve texture and pigmentation. Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin and delivers energy to the deepest layers resulting in the lifting of sagging skin. Ultherapy uses ultrasound technology to deliver focused and precisely placed energy to the deeper layers of the skin which in turn promotes collagen production and strengthening. Being non-invasive, Ultherapy leaves virtually no evidence that you had the procedure done – no scars, no peeling, no blisters. As with all treatments, individual results may vary.
How does Ultherapy work?
Ultherapy’s secret is ultrasound energy. This treatment incorporates traditional ultrasound imaging, which allows Pūr Skin Providers see the layers of tissue they are treating, ensuring the treatment energy is delivered where it will be most beneficial and safe.
Ultherapy deposits focused ultrasound energy deep beneath the skin at the optimal temperature for collagen regeneration. The ultrasound energy reaches all the way to the deepest levels of the skin; the same levels as those affected in surgical face lifting. This treatment jumpstarts a natural renewal process, known as neocollagenesis, to produce fresh, new collagen. This new collagen lifts and tightens the many layers of the skin for a natural, long term, noticeable result.
When will I notice results?
After your Ultherapy treatment you may see some initial effect, but the ultimate results will take place over 2-3 months, as your body naturally regenerates collagen. The visible results from Ultherapy can last from 12-24 months, depending on your body’s natural aging process. As with all treatments, individual results may vary.
Which areas are treated?
Ultherapy is designed to treat the entire face including above the brow line, below the chin, the neck, and the décolletage (chest). Your provider can tailor a treatment plan for you at the time of your consultation depending on your areas of concern.
What does Ultherapy feel like?
Comfort levels vary from person to person. Many patients describe the sensation as momentary prickling or heat beneath the skin. This is the ultrasound energy being delivered into the tissue, which is how Ultherapy lifts and tightens the skin.
Who is a good candidate for Ultherapy?
Ultherapy is an ideal treatment option for someone with skin that has become lax often looking and feeling less firm. Optimal candidates are men and women of all ages with mild to moderate skin laxity. One of our medical providers will evaluate if you are an appropriate candidate at the time of your consultation.
What can I expect after my treatment?
Most patients are able to return to normal activities immediately after treatment. The skin may appear a bit flushed immediately after Ultherapy, but any redness should disappear within a few hours.
How long will my results last?
Of course, your skin will continue its natural aging process. Typically patients return every 1-3 years to maintain their results.
How many treatments are recommended?
During your consultation, a Pūr Skin Clinic medical provider will create a customized treatment plan for you, to include suggested treatment areas, number of treatments, and future treatments for upkeep. Ultherapy Treatments are not done in a series, like laser treatment. Typically patients will complete one treatment every 1-3 years.
Is this treatment safe?
The FDA-cleared Ultherapy procedure has been used safely in over 350,000 treatments worldwide. Ultrasound energy has been used safely in the medical field for more than 50 years. In addition, every Ultherapy practitioner receives extensive procedural training. The innovative Ultherapy system allows us to see beneath the skin exactly where we are treating, so there is no guesswork of what tissue level we are actually treating. At all times your provider can view skin structures to be sure you are treated precisely, safely and at maximum beneficial treatment levels.

Love this place! I have had the best Botox treatment ever administered by Denice and I’ve had microdermabrasion that was perfect for my sensitive skin. I’ve sent two of my friends there. I highly recommend PUR.
Denice has been wonderful! She is very knowledgeable and experienced in her field of work. She was able to provide me with answers to my concerns. Overall it has been a wonderful experience for me as I knew that I was in good hands. I’m looking forward to my next visit.
Denice was highly recommended by a friend 10 years older than me. My friend looks beautiful while also natural and not like she’s “trying” to look younger. Denice listens to my priorities each time I see her and works very carefully to fulfill them. I consider Denice a tool in my beauty toolbox, like workouts and eating well. With her help, I feel more beautiful than ever!

As fall and winter seasons approach, so does the change in leaves, change in weather and change in our skincare. The air around us becomes drier: outside in the cold and indoors with heaters constantly running. In return, our skin barrier becomes compromised. Which results in dry, dehydrated, irritated and more sensitive skin.
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted millions of lives and most of us are coming to grip with the “new normal” of social isolation, self-quarantining, home schooling, and working (or not working) from home. In her recent Harvard Medical School article, Dr. Uma Naidoo,...
