MOXI® Laser Treatment

Refresh, Brighten, and Maintain Healthy Skin

Gentle MOXI® Laser Treatment in Kirkland & Edmonds

MOXI® is a gentle, non-ablative fractional laser treatment for early sun damage, uneven pigmentation, rough texture, and mild signs of aging. It is also used to help maintain skin quality between more intensive treatments.

The 1927 nm laser creates microscopic treatment zones while leaving the skin’s surface largely intact. This starts a natural renewal process that replaces damaged cells, supports collagen production, and reveals brighter-looking skin with limited downtime.

MOXI® is sometimes called a prejuvenation laser because it works well for patients who want to address early changes or maintain existing results. Treatment strength can be adjusted for your skin, goals, and schedule.

Benefits

Why Choose MOXI® Laser

MOXI® is a customizable resurfacing option for prevention, correction, and routine skin maintenance. By delivering non-ablative fractional laser energy into microscopic treatment zones, it can improve tone and texture while keeping recovery manageable for most patients.

  • Brightens dull skin: Fresh skin becomes visible as the treated microzones heal and exfoliate.
  • Improves uneven tone: MOXI® can soften the appearance of early sun damage and patchy pigmentation.
  • Refines skin texture: Fractional renewal can smooth roughness and improve the way the skin feels.
  • Softens mild fine lines: Collagen production may gradually improve early textural signs of aging.
  • Minimizes the look of pores: Renewed skin and collagen support can make enlarged pores appear less noticeable.
  • Works on several treatment areas: MOXI® can be used on the face, neck, chest, and hands after a provider evaluation.
  • Fits a maintenance plan: Patients may use MOXI® after a more intensive procedure or as a recurring treatment for skin quality.
  • Requires limited downtime: Redness, warmth, roughness, and small darkened dots usually resolve as the skin exfoliates over several days.
  • Pairs well with BBL®: For selected patients, MOXI® can address texture while BBL® targets visible pigment and redness.

  • Chest: MOXI® may soften visible photodamage and mottled pigmentation across the décolletage.
  • Hands: Fractional treatment can address early sun spots and roughness on frequently exposed skin.

What To Expect

About the MOXI® Laser Procedure

Every MOXI® appointment begins with a skin evaluation and a discussion of your desired outcome. The procedure itself often takes 30 to 45 minutes at PUR Skin Clinic, depending on the treatment area, with additional time allowed if topical numbing cream is used.

Treatment Process:

  • Consultation and evaluation: Your provider will assess your skin tone, concerns, previous treatments, and schedule before recommending a MOXI® plan.
  • Preparation and numbing: The skin is cleansed, and topical numbing cream may be applied to keep the treatment comfortable.
  • Customized laser settings: Treatment intensity is selected for early correction, routine maintenance, or another specific skin goal.
  • Fractional laser delivery: The handpiece glides across the area and creates microscopic treatment zones. Most patients feel mild warmth with a prickling or tingling sensation.
  • Immediate aftercare: Mild redness, warmth, slight swelling, and a rough texture are common. Your provider will explain cleansing, moisturizing, and sun protection.
  • MEND formation and exfoliation: Tiny darkened dots called MENDs may appear as treated skin cells move toward the surface. They usually feel rough before naturally sloughing away.
  • Short recovery: Many patients return to work or normal activities within 24 hours. Texture changes commonly settle within three to five days.
  • Progressive improvement: Skin may look brighter within about a week, with tone and texture continuing to improve over the following weeks.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About MOXI® Laser

What Does MOXI® Treat?

MOXI® is used for early sun damage, uneven pigmentation, rough texture, enlarged pores, mild fine lines, and general skin maintenance. Your provider will determine whether this fractional laser is suitable for your concern. The consultation confirms fit.

MOXI® uses a gentle non-ablative wavelength and generally involves less recovery. HALO® combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths for deeper correction of concerns such as more advanced sun damage, acne scars, and textural changes. Your downtime preferences also matter.

Many patients receive a series of three to four treatments spaced about four to five weeks apart. Maintenance treatments once or twice a year may be recommended based on your skin and goals. The schedule can change.

Most patients tolerate MOXI® well after topical numbing cream is applied. The usual sensation is warmth with mild prickling or tingling, and cooling air may be used during treatment. Most sessions are brief.

Many patients notice clearer, brighter-looking skin after the MENDs exfoliate, often within five to seven days. Collagen renewal and textural improvement can continue over the following weeks.

Yes. MOXI® may be paired with BBL®, HALO®, injectables, microneedling, or medical-grade skincare as part of a coordinated plan. Your provider will select the order and spacing based on how your skin responds.

Downtime is usually brief. Mild redness, warmth, slight swelling, roughness, and MENDs may be visible for several days, and makeup can typically be worn after 24 hours if your provider approves.
