Dermal Fillers

When you’ve had your fill of lines and folds, Dermal Fillers are the way to go –offering an immediate softening, plumping, or smoothing on everything from lips to smile lines…

We customize every treatment to achieve your personalized goals. Medical providers Denice Schwind, PA-C and Jill Kandora, PA-C have advanced dermal injection experience that ensures you will have a natural, youthful result. During your consultation, your Pūr Skin Clinic expert injector will discuss which filler is right for you to address your personalized cosmetic concerns.

Dermal fillers offer a natural way to reduce creases and folds in the face, reversing the signs of aging and restoring natural contours. Some of the common areas treated are smile lines, marionette lines, lack of volume in the cheeks, the pre-jowl area, lip enhancement/hydration and aging hands. There are many types of dermal filler available in which your medical provider will be able to recommend which dermal filler would be best for you. As with all dermal fillers, individual results may vary.

What to expect after treatment with dermal fillers:

There is no significant downtime with dermal fillers and you will notice an immediate softening of creases and folds, with continued collagen stimulation that will last 9-12 months on average. At Pūr Skin Clinic, we are proud to offer numbing and ice for patients to reduce risk of bruising and for treatment comfort. Dermal fillers typically take about 1-2 weeks to “settle” before you can enjoy your final result!

What are common side effects of dermal filler treatments?

Every patient reacts to the injection process differently. Common side effects are tenderness, swelling and potential bruising to treatment sites which can last up to 2 weeks. Dermal fillers should not be used if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. By discontinuing the use of aspirin products, fish oil and red wine a few days prior to your appointment, the likelihood and duration of side effects significantly reduces.

Types of Dermal Fillers:

Juvederm Volbella XC

Juvederm Volbella XC a FDA- approved dermal filler proven to hydrate lips and correct perioral lines for up to 1 year. Juvederm Volbella XC is a smooth gel specially designed using Allergan’s patented Vycross technology to gently restore fullness and shape to your lips, giving you natural-looking results that last. This filler is a great option for patients who are concerned with the lines around their lips (a.k.a “smoker’s lines”) and thin lips that would like to see correction without significant change in the size of their lips.

Juvederm Voluma XC

Voluma XC injectable hyaluronic based gel is the first and only filler FDA-approved to instantly add volume to the cheek area. As we age, certain areas of our faces, namely the cheeks, start to lose volume and look flat or sunken. One of the best tools we now have for fighting that volume loss is the injectable filler Voluma XC. This dermal filler gives you a subtle lift, helping to restore contour and a more youthful profile that can last for up to 2 years. Many times, by lifting the cheek area to a more youth position, patients will notice that the deep folds around their nose and mouth are improved at well.

Juvederm Ultra & Juvederm Ultra Plus

Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus are FDA-approved dermal fillers of that adds hydration, lift and volume to many facial areas. When placed by one of Pūr Skin Clinics expert injectors, Juvederm provides rejuvenated, refreshed, and natural appearance to areas of the face that lack volume and hydration. Juvederm is a popular choice for treating nasolabial folds (a.k.a. “smile lines” or “parentheses”), lip augmentation, and oral commissures (a.k.a “puppet lines”) and can last up to 1 year.

Juvederm Vollure

Vollure is an injectable dermal filler comprised of hyaluronic acid that is FDA indicated for the treatment of moderate to deep facial folds, including the nasolabial folds. Nasolabial folds, also called laugh lines, are the depressed lines that extend from the nose to the corners of the mouth and tend to get deeper as we age. Juvéderm Vollure is considered a next-generation hyaluronic filler not only because of its improved longevity but also due to its enhanced, more natural-looking results. What makes Juvéderm Vollure unique, however, is that the results regularly last 18 months or longer, which is about 50% longer than most other dermal fillers.

Radiesse

Radiesse targets lines and folds, helping replace lack of volume. This provides a lift to the skin, giving it more structure, and a more youthful appearance. Radiesse also helps stimulate natural collagen production, which can extend results for up to a year or more in some patients. Unlike hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, Radiesse dermal filler is made of Calcium Hydroxyapatite, which are small, smooth calcium spheres suspended in a water-based gel.
